THE OTHER SIDE OF DUST

Inside a working marble factory in Bulgaria, COUNCIL OF LIGHT enters its second reality - where models become workers of light, stone becomes dust, and fiction begins to interfere with the real.

The desert was never empty.
Somewhere along the passage, the dust changed.
What had moved freely across the dunes now covered walls, machines, cables and old controls. The same pale substance, but belonging to another world.
The Council had crossed over.
This time, the portal was real — or at least the place on the other side of it was.

The second chapter of COUNCIL OF LIGHT was photographed and filmed inside a marble factory in Bulgaria, an industrial landscape still marked by decades of cutting, shaping and transforming stone. Marble dust hangs in the architecture, settles into machinery and turns almost everything it touches the same spectral shade of white.

It felt strangely connected to the desert.
Two landscapes with almost nothing in common, joined by the same substance.

Dust.

In one, it moves with the wind and slowly erases every trace. In the other, it is produced by machines — stone broken down into particles, covering the evidence of work while preserving its history.

This became the portal between the two realities.

The figures from the desert reappear inside the factory, but their role has shifted.
They are no longer simply travelers.

They are the Workers of Light.

The cast, brought together from Bulgaria and Milan, moves through the existing machinery as if reporting for a shift whose purpose has long been forgotten. Visors become instruments. Hoods become protection. Straps, panels and wrapped constructions begin to resemble parts of an unfamiliar industrial uniform.

For a moment it becomes difficult to tell where the factory ends and the collection begins.

Nothing in the space was constructed as a set. The machinery, marble slabs, pipes, accumulated dust and traces of production belong to the factory itself. The creative and production team behind the shoot came together in Bulgaria, working inside the existing environment rather than recreating it somewhere else.

That reality matters.

Because COUNCIL OF LIGHT has always occupied an unstable territory between something imagined and something already here.
